When it comes to one's ethnicity
Does it matter where you are born?
You can be a black African
Born in Germany
And speak fluent German
Does that mean that you are German?
That person is still an African
So being born in another country
Doesn't automatically change your ethnicity
You can be a Swede born in China,
And speak fluent Chinese,
Because you were raised there.
But does that mean that you are Chinese?
Once again the ethnicity of a person
Does not automatically change
Just because you are born in another country
Of course you can be mixed
With the percentages of different ethnicity
And yet even that is a fact,
That just because you are born in another country
And speak the fluent language of that country
Doesn't necessarily mean
That your ethnicity is always one hundred percent of that country
When people automatically assume
That if you are born in a foreign country
That you are one hundred percent that ethnicity
They are mistaken to believe
That just because you are born in another country
And fluently speak the language of that country
That it is the person's one's hundred percent ethnicity.
It's helps to know
That not everyone born in a foreign country
That speaks a fluent language of that country
Has an ethnicity that is one hundred percent
Of that country
Sometimes it's mixed
And sometimes its completely different.
It doesn't really matter where you are born
That doesn't change your ethnicity
Your ancestral ethnicity
Remains the same with you.
So just because your parents recently moved countries,
That doesn't change your ethnicity.
